Monthly Mix 002 - Flow

Holding it down for our second monthly mix, Montreal-based Flow hits us with an energetic, live-recorded mix that is sure to get you out of your seat. Keeping in line with our current thematic week, Cyclic Ubiquity, Flow takes us back and forth through the ages , covering the classics, the avant-garde, and modern takes on old school styles. Genres are never independent from those which precede them; their rediscovery and recreation give way to unlimited, timeless potential.

Montreal-based Flow has been DJ’ing for just over four years, picking up the basics of mixing in his university residence with nothing but a laptop and mouse. It didn’t take long for him to fall in love, buy his gear, and start playing lively sets at his friends’ house parties. Featuring everything from lounge to techno, his dynamic style and upbeat track selection create a bouncy energy that may well turn your living room into a dancefloor. Flow enjoys breaking the boundaries of genre and expectation, and is a firm believer that good sound can fit anywhere with a proper transition. He lists Dusty Kid, Sven Vath, Hunee, and Dimitri from Paris as his main influences.
